"Part of a series of illustrations
for Kensington Technologies (which had changed its name to Kingston by
the time this ad was produced). The client wanted an edgy, high-tech look,
which at the time meant surrealistic. The success of their first ad in
this series (see the 'Kensington ad') prompted this spin-off, and a series
of increasingly sillier concepts which I've chosen not to post on this
Website. The concept of serving up disc drives on a platter was the client's. The product was a removable drive that could be stored remotely or ported to other computer systems." — Jon Fraze |
