"This was the first of a series of illustrations for Kensington Technologies. The client wanted a surrealistic look, specifying the perspective plain, the broad sky, and the hands placing memory into an open mind. The ad received positive response for the client, prompting the re-use of this image on a promotional tee shirt, and a series of related ads.
I suspect they ended the campaign only because they got tired of me. They had a tendency to demand trivial but time-consuming changes to every illustration ... in my opinion at the time this was simply because they believed that you weren't supposed to accept anything as finished on the first or second presentation. I got impatient with this after noticing the pattern, and I don't think they liked me after that. Well, I was young and hotheaded."
