"Fear of Flying"
Wireless Americas Magazine
March 2000
Previous Next
"Wireless Americas was another attempt at a spin-off publication to America's Network. The idea was to cover the wireless industry throughout North America and Latin America, which was probably too broad of a market to interest anyone in particular. The covers were done in Photoshop, in order to accomplish the rich layered and shaded look I wanted.
"This one was a take-off on the old 'flying toasters' screen saver. If you check the image closely you'll notice that these are wireless phones, not toasters. The story dealt with the virtual monopoly held by Airfone over in-flight telephone communication.
"In addition to the overall look and feel of the publication, I created the logo, and the Photoshop illustration."—Jon Fraze
