"This was the
opening page of a promotional story in which Homes For Sale magazine
congratulated itself on 16 years in the industry. We wanted a fun, bright,
and festive look. The cake and the background streamer art were drawn
in Freehand. The two photos were drawn from our archives to compare interior
design of new homes of the mid-'70s (when Homes For Sale was born)
to that of the day. Both pictures are looking fairly dated by now." —Jon
