"This piece was created
for Grahame Lynch's cover story on the United States' 'us vs. them' policies
(Grahame may have had a bone to pick there, being from Australia and Hong
Kong himself). The US (and North America in general) is represented as
a giant, threatening, unstoppable force of nature, moving across the planet
with a leading edge burning through the atmosphere (in Grahame's words)
'like the giant spaceships in Independence Day.' This was created in Photoshop
using map elements, photo elements, and drawing with Photoshop's tool
