"This is the background
image for a marketing page of Turbo magazine. The image was created as
flat line art in Illustrator first, then imported into Photoshop to add
the shading and dimensional effects. I suppose I could have done it all
in Illustrator if I'd needed a vector file, but I find it easier to create
shading in Photoshop. For that matter, I could have created it entirely
in Photoshop, but certain vector objects such as the hash marks on the
tachometer dial were much easier to accomplish in Illustrator than in
