"This was done as a holiday card for the year 1999, just before the Y2K bug was expected to wreak havoc on the telecommunications systems of the world. Susan Barr, an attorney and telecommunications specialist who wrote columns for America's Network, commissioned this piece to send to her clientele.
    "In case the idea isn't obvious, the concept was to point out that any problem arising at the start of the new year would be caused by people overloading the system from testing their phones to find out if they worked.
    "Art was done as ink line scanned and colored in Photoshop."
